The months are flying by faster than we can count, but that doesn’t mean we haven’t crammed as much into September as we possibly can! September has been a month of learning and networking in a safe, virtual way, and it’s been a productive month for the whole team.
September has been focused on virtual events and it’s been great to get back into the swing of things once again. We’ve missed all our usual networking opportunities over the past six months, so it’s been great to speak to our current clients and potential new ones, as well as learning a lot along the way.
Over the last couple of weeks, the ENSE conference and Specifi’s Virtual Next event has taken place entirely online and, even though it’s been a completely new experience for us, it’s safe to say these events were a success! The team spent days in front of the computer screen as we discussed all things Quintex, chatted to clients about their businesses and recommended the right solutions to different problems within the industry. Not only that, but we attended some very interesting talks from keynote speakers as well as gained so much useful information we can take away and use to improve our processes. Overall, two very successful events!
We’ve been spending some time getting into the mindset for Unblocktober, a month-long national campaign and awareness month to improve the health of our drains, sewers, watercourses and seas. Throughout the month of October, we’ll be raising awareness over on our social media channels and highlighting the importance of being conscious about what goes down our drains.
Not quite September news, but definitely newsworthy – the 1st of October marked our very own Ryan’s one year work anniversary at Quintex! Ryan has brought a wealth of knowledge and joy to the team and has worked incredibly hard to help the business to grow over the last year.
Chris, our sales and marketing manager, said, “Ryan has certainly made his mark in the team, really showing that his skills certainly don’t just stop at sales and marketing support but he has also made a huge impact on the technical support side of things too.
He’s got an eye for compelling content when it comes to our marketing initiative at Quintex, but equally always looking at how he can make an impact on a technical assistance & energy reporting level to our clients.”
We’re always checking out recent news stories in the office and we love anything out of the ordinary. This one in particular grabbed our attention in September!
Five parrots separated at British zoo after encouraging each other to curse profusely at guests
A British wildlife sanctuary has been forced to separate five parrots who wouldn’t stop swearing at visitors. Keepers say the birds encouraged each other to keep cursing, and had to be moved from the main outdoor aviary. The chief executive of the zoo said, “We are quite used to parrots swearing, but we’ve never had five at the same time.” You can read the full article here, guaranteed to make your day!
We’re looking forward to seeing what October brings for both Quintex and the industry, and we’d like to thank everyone, particularly ENSE and Specifi, for making September such a great month for us!
